I found a few patterns that feature full clotheslines . . .

A Day At The Beach sounds pretty good right about now, doesn’t it?   Someone has already been swimming and their swimsuits are hanging out to dry.  This paper foundation pieced pattern by MH Designs is packed with detail, including a couple three dimensional effects with the kite tail and the clothesline.

It’s Quilter’s Wash Day with three beautiful quilts hanging between two bird house poles.  Another paper foundation pieced pattern by MH Designs.  The paper piecing technique will give you sharp point and near perfect looking quilts even working in such a small scale.  Finished size is 15″ x 20″

I’ve been working on the Periwinkle Lane blocks – I love them! – and I’m looking forward to Block 12.

I also found a few jigsaw puzzles with quilts on clotheslines…..

I’m so glad I have a dryer and don’t need to hang clothes or quilts outside in the winter time, but this sure is a pretty picture of Amish Winter.

This makes another pretty picture but with all the birds Meeting At The Clothesline it makes me a bit nervous….. I hope those birds respect that quilt!

Well, all these pictures and all this talk has got me in the mood.  No, not the do the wash, to quilt!

Blue, white and gold quilt blocks run across the bottom of this Lighthouse Quiltscape Jigsaw Puzzle.  The sky is painted with the colors of a setting sun, the birds are scattered across the sky and the lighthouse stands tall and ready. 

Kitty is in vacation mode…. course aren’t they always?!  A pretty quilt is spread over a window table, adding some cheer and color to the scene.  Fresh flowers and collected seashells indicate vacation is in full swing at this Summer Beachhouse.

Artist Nicky Boehme created this beautiful Dockside Quilts scene.  Four colorful quilts are stretched across the middle of the scene that is filled with details.  A variety of flowers are blooming in the foreground, several buildings along the dock are visible, and in the distance you can see boats bobbing in the water and, beyond those, hints of a town.  With more than 1,000 pieces, this one will keep you busy for a while!

Mainstreet Quiltscape jigsaw puzzle by Rebecca Barker has you peeking over a quilt hung on a line to see a view of a small town mainstreet.   It looks so welcoming it makes me want to live there!

Diane Phelan’s puzzle shows quilts on the clothesline as viewed from a Hole In The Barn Door.   A couple cats are seen enjoying a nap on another quilt.

A pair of cardinals and a bluejay are Meeting At The Clothesline.  It makes a pretty picture, but I wouldn’t want them meeting on top of MY quilt!  Especially after it was just washed!

Sewing Circle depicts a pleasant way to spend a summer day.  A wide open porch, good friends (including furry friends), conversation, quilting projects,  and some ice-cold lemonade…. life doesn’t get any better!

Doug Knuttson created this Perfect Setting of two love birds perched on their charming little house in the midst of a rose garden with a wedding ring quilt in the background.  Awwwww.  He DID promise her a rose garden.

This scene of a Country Autumn day by Nancy Wernersbach, with a pieced and appliqued quilt hanging on the clothesline, is filled with detail. A dog and a couple of kittens are lounging in the front yard, flowers are all around, pumpkins are ready, a basket of apples sits at the foot of the porch and a curtain blows in the breeze.   Don’t you just want to settle into the rocker or set on the steps a while?
