Scrap Quilt Patterns

It’s hard to find a quilter that doesn’t like scrap quilts. We all have scraps and we all like to use them. And there’s just something about the way a scrap quilt looks. That ‘not all matchy-matchy but still goes together’ look. And, if by some strange happenstance you don’t have enough scraps, there’s nothing wrong with grabbing a whole lot of fat quarters – you’ll still get that scrappy look.
Bento Box from Brookshier Design Studio is a good quilt to start with. Easy for beginners and quick, quick, quick for more experienced quilters. This pattern is fat quarter friendly and is strip pieced. Instructions for three sizes are included.
Any quick and easy scrap quilt is Baby Bricks. There are two sizes. You can make one for baby with soft pastels and then make a twin size with bright, bold colors for the big brother or sister.
Scrap Assassin Returns will take a bit more work and a bit more time, but it will really use up your itty bitty scraps. And the result is a really scrappy looking quilt. There are three sizes: baby, lap and queen. If you like this one, then check out Scrap Assassin Strikes Again which also uses little pieces and also comes in three sizes.
Well, all those large quilts should have reduced your scrap pile quite a bit. Just a little bit left? Feedsacks is a pattern with instructions for seven little projects that will use up the rest of your scraps. A few little quilts, a few little pillows . . . all fun and scrappy.
Okay. Scrap pile is gone. Find a new quilt pattern & some new fabric and start fresh.
