Fall International Quilt Market photos, see the QuiltersWarehouse vendor displays

I just returned from the 2007 Fall International Quilt Market in Houston, TX.  From this visit QuiltersWarehouse will be introducing many new items in our catalog over the next couple of months.

With hundreds of exhibits to see, the ones I enjoy the most are the designers whose products are at QuiltersWarehouse.  It give me a chance to have a conversation with them and learn a little more about their inspirations for the patterns they design for you.

Quilt Market exhibit booth photos of all the QuiltersWarehouse vendors who attending can now be viewed by selecting the tab above.  It is your chance to see what is new, sometimes before it is even on the shelves.  On this page you can select the image for a larger view or select the vendor to shop their products at QuiltersWarehouse.  And as always, anything any of our vendors has is always in stock at QuiltersWarehouse.

Lazy Girl Designs Issues Fresh Covers and Pattern Updates for Two Favorites

Joan Hawley of Lazy Girl Designs has issued new covers and updated instructions for two of their most-loved patterns.

Both of these items are in stock now at Quilter’s Warehouse here.

The Wonder Wallet pattern (#LGD211) continues to be a quilt industry best seller, consistently residing on Checker Distributors’ ‘Top 50’ list for the last four years.

The Runaround Bag pattern (#LGD111) hosts our easiest zipper installation and is featured in an episode of the Kaye’s Quilting Friends 40th Anniversary season, currently airing on PBS around the country.

Both the Runaround Bag and Wonder Wallet designs are great starter projects and fat quarter friendly.

The covers are not the only things we have updated. While the original patterns are wonderful, we are taking this opportunity to add tips and extra resources that many of our enthusiastic customers have sent to us over the years.

Most notable in these product updates is the inclusion of pattern pieces for these designs. This is in response to the growing number of sewing enthusiasts who may not be familiar with rotary cutting.

Fabrics for both covers are courtesy of Northcott Fabrics. The Wonder Wallet cover samples are made with ‘Tulip Nouveau’ by Ro Gregg. The Runaround Bag cover sample is made with the Coral Chartreuse colorway of ‘A La Mode’ by Yolonda Fundora for Lyndhurst Studios.

These fresh versions of two popular Lazy Girl favorites are in stock now.

New from Briarwood Cottage

Sharon Williams of Briarwood Cottage has some pretty interesting events coming up.  In the January issue of “Quilts” Magazine, there is a very nice article that spotlights Brenda and Sharon.  Also, Harris Publishing interviewed them at this fall’s Quilt Market.  Then at the end of January, Brenda and Sharon are going to be attending the Heritage Quilt and Needle Art Associations annual retreat in Utah.  They will be teaching 2 different classes from their designs in the “Christmas at the Cottage” book.  They are also working on their 4th book which we hope will be ready for Spring Market.

Christmas at the Cottage

If you ask me, these two ladies have a lot on their plates for this month and it is already half over.  I don’t know about you, but the days seem to be getting shorter and shorter.  I hardly have time to keep up with all of the good things happening to our wonderful friends.

Sharon and Brenda, to you I say, congratulations on these wonderful events and good luck on the new book.  Keep up the good work.  I’m sure it will have some really great new patterns.  I can’t wait to see them.

Hope everyone is well.

Fall 2006 Quilt Market photos of designers and their new quilting patterns

Every year I take photos at the International Quilt Market of the Quilt Designers display booths whose products you can find in the QuiltersWarehouse catalog.  Designers were at Market showing their newest quilt patterns as well as refreshing our memories of their other favorites.

Quilt Branch at Market

I always try to get the designer in the photo if they are in the booth when I stopped by during this 3 day event.  The Quilt Branch (above) and Thistledown and Company (below) are just two of the 25 different designer photos you can see on our photo spread found here at QuiltersWarehouse.

I also saw that Joan Hawley of Lazy Girl Deisgns and Gina Halladay of Quilters Buzz both have a number of posts on their blogs about what they each saw at this fall Market.  You should check them out.  Also, if you know of any other posts about Fall 06 Quilt Market that you would like to share, send us a comment about them.

Quilt Market Logo  International Quilt Market is sponsored by Quilts, Inc. and is a wholesale show for quilt shops.  It is the local quilt shops semi-annual conference where they can attend classes and shop the exhibit hall for fabric, tools, patterns and notions.
