These four patterns are some of the newest for purses and bags at QuiltersWarehouse. 

 Prairie Charm Point is a fun pattern.  Done in red, white and blue, the prairie points look like festive bunting.   Using a lower contrast background would tone things down a bit if you aren’t quite in a party mood.  The points are also great for displaying decorative pins.

         So cute and so fun you’ll be tempted to make just One More Bag.  Foundation piecing makes this one easy.  You can “showcase” all your different scraps.  Finishes at 8 x 10.5 x 3.5

Erica’s Bag is the first pattern from Purse-O-Nalities of Palm Harbor to feature grommets.  They give a different look, nice and clean, and you see them popping up all over these days.  This bag has a roomy patch pocket on the front, a zipper pocket on the back, and lots of pockets inside.

Maddie’s Bag is easy to make tote (15″ x 12″ x 3.5″) that leaves you with lots of ways to personalize it just for you.  The top band is perfect for a bit of embroidery or applique.

These next two aren’t new but they sure are cute!  And now is the time to get a jump on them!

The Santa and the Snowman Gift Bags are a clever way to wrap up any little gift…. ingredients for cookies, flavored popcorn, homemade donuts.  Use your imagination and have some fun.  This could the start of a tradition in your family.  Everyone will look forward to their “bag gift” and wonder what surprise is inside!

The four patch quilt block is probably the first block many of us learned to make.  Such a simple, easy block with so much potential!  Here are some patterns that make use of the four patch.

Rainbow Cuddler alternates four patch blocks with large square of fabric to create several diagonal rows of color.  Quick and easy to make, you can keep the rainbow theme or use favorite colors or even the colors of a favorite sports team.

 Carrie Nation ’02 sets four patch blocks on point and gives this queen size quilt lots of motion.   Since stars are also an incidental part of the design, red white and blue fabrics would be another great option for this quilt.

Two color hearts appliqued to two color blocks alternate with four patch blocks in Four Patch Hearts.  Instructions are included for several sizes… small, twin, double and king.

Flow Blue – Charm looks complicated but it’s not!  Four patches and half square triangles are all need.  Perfect for charms squares with lots of darks and medium.  Then add your favorite light background.  Play with other colorways.  1930′s prints would make this a cheery quilt.  Or all pinks for a little girl.

Four On The Floor is so quick and easy!  Rows of four patches set on point are alternated with a row fabric.  The designer used Look Learn Playtime but you can use any that you like. If you don’t have a favorite row fabric, stripes would be a fun alternative.

Who knew learning to make a four patch would open so many creative doors? Browse through some more quilt patterns on your own and see what other simple blocks turn into fabulous quilt patterns.

When you read the name Painted Pony ‘N Quilts don’t you get a picture of colorful, fun looking quilts?  Well, you’d be right.  Sherrie Thomas’s  patterns are full of life and color.   Many of her patterns are pieced but a few have some applique.  Any skill level quilter will find a pattern to suit them.

Diamond Chain is fat quarter friendly and with pastels it’s the perfect new baby gift.  Or use bright colors to please a toddler.  With squares only, this quilt will go together fast, fast, fast! 

Shown here in soft, muted colors with a white background, Starry Sampler is made with three different blocks.  Log cabin pieces surround the star blocks and nine patches fill the background.  You might want to try a cream or beige background with golds, browns, and reds for the blocks.  A black background with bright bold colors would give you a completely different look.

Would you look at this?!  A LeMoyne Star pattern with no ‘Y’ seams!  1930′s fabrics are the perfect choice to make Stars in Granny’s Garden.  With just a wee bit of applique to finish the look, you’ll find it hard to part with this quilt once its finished.

Vintage Sampler really is a sampler…. including piecing, some applique, and six bloks with hand embroidery.  Learn new skills or just put the ones you already know to good use.  You can dig into your scrap box with this one and make a bit of a dent.
